The BigPic MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform is designed to provide adult educators with the tools and resources needed to foster global learning. This online environment allows educators to explore innovative strategies, gain new insights into global competencies, and access a comprehensive toolkit tailored to the needs of adult learners. It offers a unique space for educators to connect with like-minded peers, share best practices, and engage with high-quality content to improve their teaching methodologies.
Introduction
The Instruction book is a tool which aim is to help VETs and SMEs to gain new knowledge and skills referring the main Sustainable Development Goals of the united Nations through free courses (including MOOC) and educational materials developed within the BigPic project.
Getting started
First step is to create an account on the digital platform in order to create a new account on the platform www.prometeodigitale.eu first of all connect to the platform following the link, then you’ll see this page. Click the button “Create new account”.
In next step, follow the instruction adding your name, family name and, at least, all info requested with the red (*), add please mandatory your city and your country. If you’ll miss this information the account will not be activated.
When you have created an account on the platform, next step is to log in through the link
When you have logged in on the dashboard go to a section “Home” and click “Enter the course”.
From available courses on the platform you can choose the MOOC course you wish to enrol in. Just click on the course you wish to take part in.
You have access to your courses through the section “My courses”. Just enter your course and enjoy it.
Navigation inside the MOOC
When you’re inside the course you can see this screen:
where you can scroll down from the centre of the page, and you can see that the blue bar on the left side is moving with you, along the modules. This is requested to you to start from the “course Introduction” clicking on the title:
And then you can surf all units starting from Unit 1.1 by clicking on the bar on the left side, until you arrive to the “quiz” page, and it is requested for you to enter the quiz by clicking on the button “continue the last preview”.
This is what you see inside the quiz page, it’s requested to answer one of the answers (there are 10 multiple questions), where you can check the rightness of your answer by clicking the button “check”, at the end of the quiz this will be a possible situation with the red colour or green on the right side, according with your answer wrong or not.
At the end, you will see this situation and you can decide to try again the test or “submit all and finish”.
After that you can continue following Module 2 until the end of the course at Module 8. All modules have the same structure. Then the second section is named “BigPic Toolkit” where educators can find 9 useful Tools to use for enhancing their lessons and workouts with learners.
All Tools are provided in English language but it’s possible to see and download all Tools in Bulgarian, Turkish, and Italian languages.
